2degrees Graduate Programme
Te Akoranga Whakapōtae o 2degrees
Our Core Networks are team looking for a savvy, innovative, motivated graduate who can enhance our culture and bring an array of fresh ideas to 2degrees.
The Core Network is the brains of any mobile network. This is where we decide who can do what: how to get that social media session from your phone to the internet; how to connect a call in NZ to anyone, anywhere in the world; and who gets charged for what. All of this is facilitated by our Core Network team, using a range of clever systems. This is an opportunity to carve out a career in a super niche space that truly impacts the everyday lives of Kiwis.
Here's what we offer you.

Pride yourself on your ability to challenge the status quo? Always looking at things with a glass half full mentality? As a positive and passionate individual, you have a lot to give to help shape our future (and yours)!
You think of yourself as a go getter that proactively seeks new opportunities so you can grow as an individual. Rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in is how you handle most things in life. Getting involved in teams and working with people makes you tick. You thrive off collaborating and are relationship focused.
With your recently completed tertiary qualification, you've learnt to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining organised and adaptable.
You're looking to build a career and transition into an environment that allows you to fearlessly and constructively deliver innovative ideas, which in turn leave you feeling like your input is valued and part of where we need to be.
Based in Auckland CBD in our purpose-built office on Fanshawe street, 2degrees lives where the action takes place, come get amongst it!

I really enjoy coming into work everyday. I am currently in a Change Management role so a lot of my day to day responsibilities include stakeholder interaction and engagement with people across the business. It requires communicating with our internal stakeholders changes that are occurring across various platforms and processes and how that will impact our people.
My current graduate rotation involves being a Security Engineer. This means I am involved in the everyday alerts that come to the security team for investigation and we then look into these. I am also working on the documentations for these alerts so that on call employees know how to react or who to reach out to for these alerts. I am also involved a lot with the interns and future grads to help make their experience the best. I have helped organise our Intern project where they are in groups solving a real-world problem that could then be implemented.
I'm a product manager for some of our Business products. I look after fixed and wireless connectivity, and have room to innovate with satellite. A lot of my work is focused on integration and building new, combining two old technology stack products together. I look after how the product presents to customers, what it is, pricing and proposition. I work cross-functionally across all areas of the business.

2degrees is New Zealand’s newest full-service telco. And we champion different. We believe in different ways of thinking, working and living.
The culture and the people. Everyone at 2degrees wants to see you grow and succeed and help you along the journey.
I love having flexibility in what I work on and where I work.
There are endless training, workshop, and personal development opportunities!
The office is super close to the bus stops, and we have amazing end of trip facilities, so I bike into office every day.
There are lots of career progression opportunities! New roles are often available.
Because 2degrees is a software driven telco, it is a very fast-moving company, and you can feel left behind if you don't try to keep up.
Telecommunications being quite a niche industry, there can be a lot to get your head around a lot of the time.
As we grow, it makes it difficult to maintain our roots as a challenger brand.
The company moves very fast, and there can be a struggle to keep up with changes, which can create a sense of pressure and urgency.
I thought the starting salary was a bit low compared to my fellow engineering graduates.
