Career Prospects at AMP

There are no jobs and no one gets promoted internally

It is a difficult time for the industry as a whole but AMP particularly is struggling to provide clear messaging on where the progression internally is likely to be. There has been mixed messages from the business on this issue but it looks like some clarity will come soon.

Past graduates have gone on to very senior roles within the business, including our current CFO being a past grad. Key to move up is your networks.

The sheer amount of teams and exciting opportunities makes it very clear to employees to see progression possibilities

No real experience in this sense

I have had amazing opportunities and been able to set up a path to move on from the grad program. This is mostly due to the support of the grad program manager who is incredible but also the encouragement and support of my mentor through the program and my rotation managers.

Considering the state of flux the company is currently in, it is hard to see where those opportunities for promotion and career development are. However, historically, grads have had a number of promotions in a quick period of time.

If you perform well and consistently, seniors are willing to back you and support your career prospects and growth.

As a grad we are supported to roll off in to a suitable role within the organisation.
