Very friendly and approachable.

Some managers are absolutely amazing. Supportive, approachable and foster your development. Sometimes it isn't clear who you are reporting to, for example my manager left and no recruitment has taken place to fill that role so temporarily pulled into a different team, where that manager also left and has a temporary manager until recruitment eventually takes place. Your manager doesn't have to be your mentor, any colleague with more experience can give insight and career advice - find the right fit for you. It can be hard to be praised and recognised for your work when people don't actually see what you do and how complex it can be.

In just a short time I feel I have made really strong connections with those who I am reporting to. The support and guidance from my GLO has been very helpful in my beginning days at Council- explaining who is who! and what to expect! how things work! etc. My manager checks in on me, on how I am going and feeling, which it has definitely made the sheer size of Council a lot more manageable.

Great managers all up. They've all been incredibly lovely and understanding. Never feel worried or anxious talking to them. All have been supportive of my needs, and never have felt judgement. Definitely feels as though they want the best for us! Haven't worked here long enough to get performance feedback/praise/recognition. Nonetheless, I feel confident that support will be strong.

I have very good manager that supports the team with their career life and care for our general life and wellbeing. Good mentor that let us think deeply what we want to do in our career. Provide honest feedback and recognises us.

My manager is very accessible, they make sure to attend to me whenever I raise awareness to a subject and they will create time in their calendar to have regular catch ups to ensure I am keeping on track and to raise any concerns about the work I am completing. They make great mentors as they show how dedicated they are to ensuring everyone in their control is treated with the highest level of care and supported to complete work to their highest quality. They approach internal communication through regular catch ups, but they are always open to having additional catch ups where necessary. Performance feedback, praise and recognition are all given at the end of projects to show the progress and to highlight what was done well and also what was not done so well.

Managers encourage colleagues to ask questions or seek support. Personally, I approach them by email or over teams if it is urgent. They are always willing to provide feedback, different managers have different approach to feedback some prefer over email or face to face. At our team meetings or department meetings, managers will give praise and recognition for colleagues who have excelled in their projects.

Love my manager. She's kept me here for the last few years - just an excellent communicator, leader, and a true subject matter expert. She is great at providing feedback (maybe too much sometimes), but it's meant that I have grown lots under her guidance

All excellent people. Manager is easy to reach all the time. Great communication.

I am able to talk to my manager and graduate support groups whenever needed. I am happy to ask when I need help as they are all approachable.
