Would be nice if there were bonuses at graduate level, but there are bonuses at the next level. Pay is average to above average for starting pay

It can be difficult to progress through ranks as quickly as I would like because you have to wait for a position to become available at the higher level, rather than being promoted on an ad hoc basis.

The graduate pay is competitive, however there are no bonuses.

I think we're pretty lucky as I heard some companies only give their grads a 50-55k salary.

Considering there is a good work-life balance, salaries for junior staff are quite generous. Your pay may take a hit relative to the private sector once you progress to senior levels, but the hours remain very manageable.

15.4% superannuation contribution on top of the annual salary.

No real perks except knowing you are working for the public/a good cause.

As a government body, we do have a pretty high superannuation rate at 15.4% whereas most private sectors will have 9.5%. Additionally, if you're in IT, you might get the opportunity to fly interstate to our other offices in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane etc to help with devices.
