About the role

Datacom’s PAYE Intermediary Service (PI) looks after all customers of Datacom PaySystems. Each month this integral part of our operation is responsible for tens of thousands of employers’ payday files processed to IRD and tax payments that are accurately reconciled and paid on time. That makes us the one of the largest employer payroll tax reporting operations with the IRD in the country.

As the volume of this operation continues to grow we are looking for an permanent entry level additional full time person to join the Datacom PI team to facilitate on many deadline driven business tasks, this includes monitoring payday filing service, operating banking & trust accounts, investigating filling errors, and managing confidential IRD enquiries. No payroll experience required - training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily operations of the Datacom trust account & payday filings, handling IRD documentations & requests, and conducting client accounts investigations
  • Providing additional administrative supports to the team, payroll helpdesk, key clients and liaising with IRD
  • Error finding and problem solving for filing & payment reconciliations and payroll corrections
  • You will be working with a small, friendly and dynamic team, reporting to the Business Service Manager

What you’ll bring

  • Competent in working with various computer systems and office administrations.
  • Excellent communication skills, this will involve verbal and written communications to internal/external clients across all payroll systems
  • An exceptional attention to detail & accuracy and be good at planning, organising, processing & MS Excel
  • An ability to prioritise while working on multiple tasks and add values to team building

  • Everyone is friendly, open to new ideas, willing to train, gives time for training and Lots of opportunities to seek new pathways Rewarding training paths Nicole my recruiter is amazing in helping with the transition and introducing me to the new rotation's leader

  • Flexibility and WFH, the best thing is being able to choose where I work from there is no requirement or force to be placed in the office, they understand the times have changed and they have moved with it not against also no Egos everyone is fair kind and reasonable

  • There are lots of interesting people to meet and learn from

  • Broad mix of projects to work on

  • The culture of the company and how supportive and collaborative my team members and manager are

Cons

    • Waiting for access to the customer site, but I can understand that it will take a long time to get software install

    • Slight disconnect with employees

    • The pay could be better. Sometimes I have to work overtime which can be difficult to work around my personal life

    • At the moment there is nothing I can say that is worst about the company

    • Lots of screen time
