Salary at Datacom New Zealand

Not bad, not good. Nothing special.

Pay increases should match industry standards and not be limited by a percentage that is applied throughout the company and employees. Datacom seems to have a reputation for not paying industry standard pay, from speaking to previous employees and colleagues.

I believe I'm paid well below what is available elsewhere. I also followed this role from a 3-month unpaid internship. Health insurance with Southern Cross is a big positive.

Its not terrible, but it should be more

Even though I was promoted during my last annual review my pay wasn't adjusted accordingly to the promotion or inflation.

Low end of scale. No bonuses in my role.

I understand that it is the standard for graduates at most places however it's lower that what is said people should be earning to be able to afford the cost of living right now

I'm not aware of any bonuses. I think my pay is mid to low for my role but it is enough for now.

Health insurance is good, some social events. Opportunity to work in different locations around the country (negotiated on individual basis)

Private health insurance is nice, I haven't had to use it yet though. Having a work laptop and cell phone is also nice, less a perk more a role requirement. Having allocated parking in town has been useful too.
