Our future looks bright, and so does yours! If you've completed a business-oriented degree and want to engage businesses in a Technology Industry career – apply for a grad vacancy with Datacom now!

Grads at Datacom

Every year we're delighted to bring grads into our business. We believe grads bring innovation and fresh thinking to our teams. And for years, we have provided opportunities for grads to launch exciting careers. Our 2021 graduate in-take was the largest yet, and 2022 will be bigger again.

Before 31 March 2022, our Auckland-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) practice is looking for graduates with degrees (and a keen interest) in disciplines that are aligned to their platform-based solutions using Microsoft and SAP technology.

The disciplines we are specifically interested in for these vacancies are:

  • Accounting;
  • Finance;
  • Management;
  • Business Operations; and/or
  • Supply chain management.

If you have a degree in any of these disciplines and have a strength or interest in information technology (perhaps you have a computer science or information science minor in your degree, or simply enjoy the business-use of technology), we have a perfect opportunity for you to launch and grow your career!

You may currently be completing your degree through Summer School, or may have completed your degree in 2021 and not yet secured a role.

If you tick the boxes above and are available to commence work before the end of March 2022, we would love to hear from you now.

What you'll bring

We are looking for grads who are passionate about using technology to make a difference. Ideally, you will be:

  • A self-starter – motivated, focussed and passionate.
  • An excellent communicator – engaging our people and our customers is vital in every role at Datacom.
  • Customer-centric – understanding our customers allows us to deliver more value, therefore deep customer empathy is essential.
  • A courageous character – we value our peoples’ ideas, self-confidence and courage to raise ideas, speak-up and give things a crack!

My day to day work consists of front end software development and participating in sprint ceremonies such as retros, planning, refinements, and standups. I collaborate with the other developers on my team, and work back and forth with testers to fix bugs and ensure our work is up to standard.
