7.1
7.1 rating for Career Prospects, based on 74 reviews
Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
Promotions and progressions are very structured. Personally, I do not pay much attention to what my prospects are as I prefer to focus on the present.
Graduate, Christchurch - 17 Sep 2024
Not really sure what to expect however part of my reason for coming to deloitte (one of the big four) is for the opportunity to learn and see a large variety of clients not necessarily the promotion opportunities
Graduate, Hamilton - 16 Sep 2024
I cannot make a fair judgement as I have only just recently started and have not been involved in opportunities yet.
Graduate, Auckland - 04 Sep 2024
I feel like I have the best future career aspirations among my group of school friends with many opportunities
Cconsultant, Rotorua - 04 Sep 2024
Depending on the progress made during client projects, the seniors will assess your capabilities and see whether you are ready to move up the rank or not
Graduate, Wellington - 03 Sep 2024
High utilisation, good client work and being on top of your admin.
Graduate, Christchurch - 03 Sep 2024
It takes a review cycle
Graduate, Auckland - 02 Sep 2024
Very cookie cutter promotion process
Graduate, Christchurch - 02 Sep 2024
There is a definitive journey within deloitte. It is highly structured. Some people like this. For me I think it lacks incentive and performance based promotions. Career progression is highly supported though and there are alot of tools and guidance provided for this.
Graduate, Dunedin - 02 Sep 2024
People are regularly promoted, but is hard to fastrack (not that I would be in such a position)
Graduate, Wellington - 02 Sep 2024
Definitely opportunity and hard work is recognized. It takes a reasonable amount of time and effort to reach promotion
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Aug 2021
Relatively structured.
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Aug 2021
Promotions follow a process that built in a way that is easy to understand what is expected of you
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Aug 2021
Somewhat fixed at a graduate level i.E. 1 Year, 3 months no matter how you perform.
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Aug 2021
There is a career pathway provided at the beginning of your career as well as the standards of a person at each level. Generally, you will move up a level each year and be a senior in 3 years
Graduate, Wellington - 09 Aug 2021
Very good promotion possibility
Midlevel, Auckland - 09 Aug 2021
In my service line/ cluster it is more difficult to move up the ranks- especially if you are not exactly suited to the line of work.
Graduate, Wellington - 09 Aug 2021
I would like to progress up the ranks however I'm unmotivated by the lack of salary increases at each rank.
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Aug 2021
Other than the set time it takes analysts to move to consultants, a lot of it depends on your performance and the availability to move up the ranks. A lot of staff move up as expected, but some move quicker than others because they are showing 'better than expected' performances and the team can handle the promotion. E.G. There is space and need for a manager perhaps.
Graduate, Wellington - 09 Aug 2021
My next promotion is june 2022
