Our managers are very accessible as have an open-door policy. They are very approachable and knowledgeable. In terms of internal communication this is a mix of meetings and emails. In terms of performance feedback this happens every six months. Praise and recognition is usually over email but could happen a bit more.

My "managers" are the Partners within my team. They are all very accessible and make very good mentors. I have not gone through a formal praise/recognition however, informally they communicate how you are going regularly.

Accessibility to managers varies by team. In the Employment team, all levels, including partners, are accessible and willing to guide through tasks. In Litigation, my primary interactions are with senior solicitors and associates. Nevertheless, everyone is supportive in providing feedback, demonstrating a genuine desire to help me succeed.

All very accessible. In terms of mentorship, I get most of that from associates, who in turn receive it from partners. But again, all of the partners will really encourage learning by doing, without leaving you out to dry. So, they are good mentors in that sense. I often receive brief feedback after performing a task. We also do informal coffee catchups with partners which is a good chance to receive feedback in a more informal context, outside of a performance review.

My team is great and the partners are all very accessible and helpful. I have no complaints.

Within my office, I am very satisfied with internal communication, performance feedback and recognition. Our HR manager (based in Chch) is great and comes up to our office regularly. Our CE also makes trips up regularly and is very approachable. The rest of management I usually contact via email/phone etc, but everyone is very supportive.

We receive great support from the partners in the firm.
