I learned at DXC what T-shaped and X-shaped individuals are and how cross disciplinary skills are seen as a benefit in this organization.
In terms of promotion and moving up the ranks, I'm not quite sure yet, personally I have a varied skill set and focus more on the right environment and find things seem to work themselves out.
I think I want to do a Financial Risk Manger (FRM) course next personally and might do some Udemy courses on that and maybe some more advanced programming concepts.

From what I have observed, there does not seem to be much movement for those within DXC. Most people seem to stay at the level they are hired, especially as so many people in this portfolio are contractors and so they will only be with DXC on a temporary basis.
