Socialising is fun and everyone is welcoming, however, there isn't much opportunity to do it unless we reach out ourselves

Good workplace culture of inclusion, fair management, good amount of social events organised by EY as well as social events with colleagues not organised by EY.

My office in particular, hierarchy is recognised but the structure is very flat. Seniors and partners are very accessible and approachable, in addition it allows more opportunities to work closely with such people. Often social events are held after hours, and many nights out are planned amongst employees. Social sports is also a great contributor to the close-knit culture. This translates into a comfortable and inclusive working environment where everyone supports each other to produce high quality work.

Close/friendly/social community, helpful environment and learning opportunities. Supportful senior staff.

Very big work from home culture, and often it does not feel like you're part of a team. Hierarchy is flat, and (mostly) everyone is very approachable which is nice.

There is nothing wrong with the culture. It does, however, feel like we are all quite divided among service lines and teams

EY has a really good flat hierarchy where there is formal structure, but you work with everyone from partners to grads on work.
The office always puts on great social events, and there are various sports teams.
EY has a really good system with taking time back in lieu if you work overtime.

Workplace politics, gossiping.

All through the hierarchy it is very clear that everyone is there for you. As a grad I have had multipole conversation with senior managers, directors, even partners, comfortably.

Company's culture: Excellent. Very friendly environment, seniors & managers are happy to help us for solving different issues. Head-to-head couching is enough for us to get use to the job.
After hours: So far so good. No one require me to work after hours. But may need to spare some time to do some jobs if there is high volume of workload (not always)
Structure & team: Depending on the job size. For big company, may have few teams to do the engagement. But for small company, maybe only have one team for the job.
A typical team: One Partner (make decisive decision and decide the decisive approach) - One or Two Mangers(s) (make all decisions during the engagement & review workings) - One or Two Seniors (couching staffs, review workings, prepare workings, report to Managers & Partner) - Fews staffs (prepare workings)

My team is really well set up and has a good structure. We all also get a 'mentour' type buddy which is really cool to help you develop career goals and to ask questions about work who is not in your team. The socialising is quite good, however, a lot of grads work from home too much so sometimes the office can feel quite empty.

Everybody is really friendly and helpful

Welcoming and inclusive

Flat structure makes it easy to communicate with senior decision makers. Culture is generally supportive.
Graduate, Wellington - 21 Dec 2021
The company has a very horizontal structure, meaning it is easy to engage with everyone from interns to partners. We have great culture both in the office and after hours. This is fostered through regular coffees, events and our social club.

The people are awesome and its a very flat structure
Graduate, Wellington - 21 Dec 2021
Very inclusive and diverse. Welcoming to new people and encouraging to bring everyone up. High focus on high performing teams and teamwork, as well as supporting each other.

The culture is what you make of it - flat in hierarchy, partner drinks after work. Culture differs from team to team though - CCaSS is strong and interpersonal. Tip: Make friends early, say yes to what comes by and network abundantly.
Graduate, Auckland - 20 Sep 2021
Both in the office and after hours there is always someone to talk to. Everyone is very friendly. you don't just make work colleagues here, but also friends

We are encouraged to have flexible working, which is great! The team understands that if we are busy, we will have to work after hours, we can take this as time in lieu in the future. In terms of hierarchy, my senior team members are very approachable and take time to explain tasks and if they know I'm busy will take on tasks themselves. My team members are easy to get along with, in and out of a work environment.
