At Frucor Suntory we are “Hungry to make drinks better”. We’re passionate about creating great-tasting drinks that have a positive impact on wellbeing and enjoyment.

We make, market and sell a range of energy drinks, waters, juices and soft drinks, many of which are Global household names. Our brands include the iconic ‘V’ energy drink, Fresh Up, Just Juice, Simply Squeezed, h2go, Mizone, NZ Natural, Maximus, Pepsi Max, Ribena and the world-renowned Suntory Boss Coffee (just to name a few).

Frucor Suntory sets out to attract the best people, and we know that once we have great people on-board, we need to continuously develop their skill base and leadership mindset. We are committed to your personal growth and to providing you with the tools necessary to further your career.

You will be immersed into a two-year program where you will work in the Marketing function of the Frucor Suntory business which will provide challenging assignments stretching the way you think, giving you exposure to a range of developmental and learning experiences that will help you understand our business and develop your career.

You’ll gain real experience while earning a competitive salary. There is no average day at Frucor Suntory, and you’ll get to experience working in a truly innovative company.

In this role you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to many aspects of the Marketing mix; from working with the brand teams, insights, shopper marketing and everywhere in-between. You will be responsible for supporting the wider marketing teams with specific projects and gain exposure working with some great brands and events.

What are we looking for?

Here at Frucor Suntory, we don’t take ourselves too seriously and like to have fun but we don’t shy away from a challenge, and neither should you. A lot of what we look for is how you would align with our values ‘Together’, ‘Go For It‘ and ‘Make a Difference’.

You will:

  • Be in your final year of undergraduate degree and completing your qualification in 2022 in one of the following qualifications: BCom, BBus, BACom, BComSc, BC and any Marketing-related qualification
  • Be a dynamic person with a growth mindset who thinks outside the box and is as passionate and hungry about making drinks better
  • Have achieved consistently strong grades – we want to see the results from your dedication and commitment
  • Want to go places, so your ability to lead and influence people will be important
  • Have tonnes of initiative and a strong worth ethic; you won’t be afraid to get stuck in and give things a go
  • Have the practical ability to apply what you have learnt to provide business opportunities

You’ll need to be completing your undergraduate qualification in 2022 to be able to start in January 2023 and you’ll also need to be an Australian citizen or hold an Australian work visa to be eligible.

We’ll be holding our Discovery Centre this year in person at our Manukau (New Zealand) or North Strathfield (Australia) office. As this is a critical part of the Graduate program recruitment process, you will need to be available to attend on this day.

At Frucor Suntory, we recognise that all life experiences equate to innovation. We welcome people of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, abilities, ages, life stages, sexualities and genders to apply to join the Frucor family. We are 100% proud of our people. We empower each other to go for it and make a difference. Come and work with us!

Does this sound like you? Then please APPLY TODAY along with your CV and your academic transcript or summary of results to date. You will also need to include a covering letter describing your biggest achievement to date; explaining why you think you'd be an asset to the team.

Applications for our various Graduate Program streams close on August 12th 2022

Please note all final applicants will need to complete all necessary pre-employment checks.

If you require any specific support or adjustments throughout the recruitment process to enable you to put your best foot forward, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

I have a lot of responsibility which is good as it shows I am trusted amongst my peers

I have been given many different responsibilities throughout rotations in raw materials, product development and science and regulatory affairs. Although I have worked on smaller improvement jobs I would love to continue to make my mark and for the company to benefit from my input

My day to day responsibilities include product tasting, sensory training, product development project work, consumer research, GMP audits and process improvement (to name a few). No two days are the same.

Pros and cons of working at Suntory Oceania

Pros

  • I really love the team culture and the support to be curious and to expand your knowledge all the time.

  • The opportunities I have been given have been incredible and I feel very lucky to be a part of such a great work environment.

  • The culture is great as everyone is very friendly. We also hang out outside of work socially which shows they're more than just your co-workers.

  • The flexibility with hours has been great.

  • Great Managers - they all want the best for you and look out for you. If you ask for it they will guide and push you to be the best you.

Cons

    • Lower than standard salary with annual pay reviews.

    • Maybe one thing would be the slight disconnect and miscommunication that comes with managing new and old processes.

    • The commute and traffic with offices being out in Manukau.

    • I lose track of overtime hours I have done and don't often take the time off that I am owed.

    • The hiring process was well communicated and engaging but it was a very long process.
