Application Process & Interviews at Suntory Oceania

Long process which is good they are thorough but can take a while

The hiring process was well communicated and engaging but it was a very long process and in contention with other applications and job offers at the time I was applying, this made it quite stressful.

The hiring process is a great eye opener on what Frucor Suntory is all about - it is not just an assessment process for our recruitment team, but it is also an opportunity for grads to assess Frucor as an employer. The recruitment process involves an online virtual interview, and the in-person discovery and assessment day where you will be invited to our offices to learn more about the company and the role. As part of the discovery day, candidates also complete an interview, and case study/group activity.

It took a long time to confirm the job once I had been offered it, and it was left a little late in the year compared to other companies. The process itself was nice though, getting to go to the office and meet the team for the assessment center was awesome, to get a feel for the place.

Phone interview, one on one interview/ case study presentation, assessment centre, psychometricc testing

Firstly, you submit your CV and Cover Letter. A phone interview is conducted and if successful, you are invited to the assessment centre where interviews will also take place. Following this is the psychometric testing and if all goes well an offer is made.

My interview was done online, Had 3 interview in total 1. Basic interview and IQ tests 2. Interview and Case study 3. Meeting the CFO

Unorganized, very drawn out

Firstly a video interview, followed by a interview/workshop session where I presented a case study I had prepared, and was then interviewed by 2 interviewers. This was followed by an interview with the CFO.

We had an assessment day that was very full on but we felt very supported the entire time. It was not daunting at any point and we still knew how to have fun

Standard Interview questions. e.g. work history, what do you want to develop? What attracted you to SO

I was asked an array of questions including scenario based questions such as "have you experienced working with someone who didn't pull their weight and how did you go about this situation" to more specific company questions such as "what does gemba mean to you"

Questions regarding your education background and knowledge of our companies' products/values, and STAR structured questions.

Situational questions

How I would resolve disagreements between me and someone else in the workplace. What makes me want to work for the company.

If you didn't need to work, what would you want to do with your life? If you were a dog, what dog would you be?

Questions around personal development, leadership. If you google "most common interview questions" you will find most of them.

Be honest and clear - don't be shy on what your goals are and flaws? The programmed is designed to help develop graduates

My advice would be to be yourself because you want to be hired for you. Have the confidence to ask questions and to be curious

Researching is a good way to learn about the company, understand if the opportunity offered is what you are looking for and if their values align with yours. Be yourself! It helps us know if Frucor is the right place for you and how you can best add value to the team.

I'd say the key thing would be to relax as the interviewers are very friendly and understand that you might be nervous.
