By far the best interview process I experienced. Very informal, 'get to know you' type interviews initially before a slightly more formal team problem solving exercise.

First interview was with one HR person and one senior associate; second interview was one HR person and one partner; and the group assessment was a discussion about a legal scenario we'd been given a short time before the assessment.

What questions were you asked in your interviews?
I was asked about my skill sets and experience and how I could apply this to a graduate role. Why I wanted to work for the company. I was also asked about my life outside of work and what I enjoyed doing.

In each interview the HR team member had a set of questions that were asked. The questions included: 1. Tell us about your experience and background. 2. What is your working style like? 3. What are your intentions in the next 5 years 4. Why have you chosen to apply at this firm?
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Oct 2023
Standard situational questions regarding things like "times you improved a process", "how you resolved a conflict with a colleague"
Graduate, Melbourne - 23 Dec 2022
Very general questions about what I'd done leading up to completion of my JD. Very few law-related questions which I think was great in terms of building rapport with the interviewing partner/SA.

Why this firm? Where do you see yourself in five years? Describe a time you had to deal with competing priorities? Describe a time you had to solve a problem?

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
Research the people who are going to be interviewing you. See what their background is and what areas they have worked in.

Be ready to learn and curious about the work. Ask questions and don't be afraid if you don't understand something.

Be yourself, answer honestly, it's easy to tell when someone is fabricating an answer and not being themselves. Have a group of experiences you can draw on to showcase how you handles different situations. Relate each experience to the usual situational questions asked in interviews. STAR approach.

Obviously do your due diligence on the company, but other than that just be yourself. The worst thing to do is to come off scripted and inauthentic.
Graduate, Sydney - 22 Dec 2022
Look at the areas that the lawyers interviewing you work in, look at the firm's values and the things it supports, and prepare some questions to ask back to the interviewers.
Graduate, Melbourne - 21 Dec 2022
Do research on the firm and the different practice areas. It would be beneficially to get in contact with a current employee to get an idea of whether the firm is suitable for you.
Graduate, Melbourne - 21 Dec 2022
Be yourself, do your research.
