Career Prospects at Gallagher

I've only been at Gallagher for just over a year and have been promoted to account exec from Graduate so I can't complain.

At Gallagher I have heard good things about the ability to progress your career internally, not that we've had the opportunity to experience this yet.

The company consistently advertises the roles available to all employees. We all have a change to move up in the department or change positions if we wish. This company actively supports communication between everyone in all departments and allows for training within the internal college or external college.

Career progression is slightly skewed towards broking for graduates and more openness into other opportunities would improve the graduate program

Seems to be fairly quick to progress if you are good at what you do

As the graduate program is nearly finished, I will shortly become an assistant account executive. I will need to demonstrate proficiency in assisting the account executive and take on more responsibility to become an account executive.

There are plenty of promotion possibilities for graduates. Promotions within teams are dependent on the manager of that team, and most of them are good with rewarding good work and effort. Gallagher also offers promotions and movement into new teams and departments, as well as the opportunity to move to another branch if that's what you are after. As a global company, I find that very enticing as you can move to most countries internationally, and Gallagher will have an office there to support you.

There is room to grow after the graduate program however this takes over 18 months.
