Assisting clients with their insurance needs
Graduate, Melbourne - 20 Mar 2024
In my current rotation, the general expectation is to learn as much as possible each day. No specific responsibilities have been assigned.
Graduate, Sydney - 10 Nov 2023
This obviously depends on the team we are in. Some teams, such as workplace risk, don't have the workload or type of work to sustain a full-time graduate role and therefore some days a left with not too much to do. In saying this, though, WPR has offered the opportunity for lots of client interactions and site visits which have been very valuable. In other teams such as Corporate and Fin Lines, they have still offered these experiences (albeit not to the same volume) but they have also offered opportunities to develop our traditional broking skills and stakeholder relationship management, which will be more valuable in the role we have next year.

As a graduate, my role has varied depending on what team I have been working with. I have mostly shadowed account executives in their client/insurer/broker meetings. I have performed administrative tasks such as obtaining quotes manually and through Sunrise. I have processed renewals/endorsements/invoices on our processing system- iBais. I have prepared documents such as quote schedules and quote slips.
Graduate, Sydney - 02 Jun 2021
The graduate's role and responsibilities varies between the teams quite substantially. In some teams the role can be quite vague and you can do a wide variety of tasks, and in others the role is very focused on only a couple different tasks, which to me can be quite draining. The responsibilities the graduates hold also depends largely on the team you rotate in and the manager you work under. I prefer having more responsibility, and manager's are usually comfortable with this when bringing it to their attention.
