Your opportunity

We have graduate opportunities available across the following service lines:

  • Audit & Assurance
  • Private Business Tax & Advisory
  • Financial Advisory (including Corporate Finance, Restructuring Advisory and Forensics)
  • Tax (including Corporate Tax and Specialist Tax)
  • Risk Consulting (including Technology Risk)

Eligibility

This Expression of Interest is for those who hold the below visas: 

  • Student Visa (Subclass 500)
  • Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)

To be eligible for our 2024/2025 Vacation Program, you must be:

  • In your penultimate or final year of your undergraduate or postgraduate studies

If you are an Australian/New Zealand citizen or are a Permanent Resident of Australia, you are eligible to apply directly to the role here

Please note: Grant Thornton Australia will not sponsor students or graduates for residency. Successful candidates will be required, as a condition of their employment, to maintain a current visa or where relevant, to independently apply for and obtain permanent residency.

Pros

  • The people, culture and work-life balance.

  • Grant Thornton is truly an exceptional place to work. The firm really values diversity and inclusivity, and actively supports various charities.

  • The flexibility of home and office.

  • Exposure to a number of types of clients, good structure, really nice offices, good culture, other associates always ready to give you a hand.

  • 9 day working fortnights during quiet periods has been amazing. It helps incentivise me to finish my work earlier so I can get time off.

Cons

    • It seems that there is not much cross over between different service lines.

    • Sometimes you are required to work after hours.

    • Sometimes you will need to visit the client that is quite far away.

    • While the starting salary may be lower, the potential for growth and advancement is promising.

    • Lots of online training modules to complete at the beginning.
