This programme runs for two years with new recruits starting with Council in February 2025.

We are looking for recent graduates or students in their final year of study who are passionate, enthusiastic, and driven – ready to learn and thrive while learning the scope of the work we do here at council. We offer the opportunity to learn from the best, while developing your skills and experience when you are appointed a permanent role here in the Infrastructure Operations Group.

 During your first month you will participate in a robust orientation programme that will set you up to succeed.  You will be set up with a buddy and a non-technical mentor to ensure you are well supported during the two-year programme. These roles are part of a wider Graduate programme which will give you the opportunity to stay connected with your fellow graduates across other areas of Council.

Throughout your graduate programme you will rotate between the Development, Infrastructure Operations and Strategic Assets team.  You will be surprised at the scope of work that this group undertakes, and will give you a great insight into where a career with Hamilton City Council could lead.
