Your role

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Design and implement a circular economy project with guidance from local council teams.
  • Combine theoretical knowledge with creative thinking to develop innovative solutions.
  • Work 10 hours weekly during semesters and up to 30 hours during holidays.
  • Engage in a mix of remote and office work.

About you

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Enthusiasm for waste prevention and circular economy principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and project management abilities.
  • A Class 1 Driver’s Licence (Restricted or Full).
  • Enrollment in a tertiary study program in the Waikato region for 2025.
  • New Zealand citizenship or residency.

Compensation & benefits

  • Constantly changing environment and some of the people I have met.

  • Extremely supportive environment Fun work place culture Friendly staff.

  • Good people and support from the organization

  • Probably the health insurance; I haven't had to use it yet, but it's nice to know it's there if I need it.

    • A lot of uncertainty around job security, not a very creative environment.
