Application Process & Interviews at Holcim

8.5
8.5 rating for Recruitment, based on 6 reviews
Please describe the interview process and assessments.
We had to submit our resumes along with various questions such as why Holcim? etc., psychometric testing online, phone interview, video interview, assessment centre (which included 2 group activities, a site visit, an essay on safety and a formal interview).
Midlevel, Melbourne - 02 Jun 2020
Fairly straightforward. Online assessment, video interview, group assessment centre and then one on one interview.

Interview consisted of the psychometric assessment, video interview, assessment centre and face to face interview. The video interview was likely my hardest interview as there was no chance to re do questions and only a short amount to prepare for the question.

There were multiple stages starting from psychometric testing then a phone and video interview. If you passed these there was a full day of assessments at the head office including a site tour and a formal interview.

What questions were you asked in your interviews?
General behavioural questions
Graduate, Melbourne - 02 Jun 2020
It was quite a casual interview, we chatted about my previous experience in the company and discussed topics about the graduate program.

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
They look for team work, not the right answer, in the group activities. Ask lots of questions and show genuine interest.
Midlevel, Melbourne - 02 Jun 2020
Draw on all operational experience gathered through work experience roles.
Graduate, Melbourne - 02 Jun 2020
Be yourself, be upfront during the interview, and always be honest. If you don't know the answer to the question it's not the end of the world (or your opportunity with Holcim).
Graduate, Melbourne - 20 May 2020
Be open and honest. During the site tour ask a lot of questions because that is the sort of environment you'll be working in. If you're not suited to that environment or don't like it, speak up as soon as possible. Work together with your team, it's never about the right answer - it's always about how you worked with the team.
