Inland Revenue plays a critical role in improving the economic and social wellbeing of New Zealanders. We do this by collecting and distributing money, we collect 80% of the Crown’s revenue and distribute social support payments.

The Policy and Regulatory Stewardship team advises Government on a range of tax and social policy issues. We research and develop policy options, and present policy recommendations to senior officials and Ministers. We also prepare the legislation arising from those policy recommendations and support it through the legislative process.

We are looking for graduates who, along with strong academic backgrounds and other complementary skills, can bring diverse perspectives to the team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to solve problems by thinking critically and conceptually, engage well with stakeholders, work collaboratively in teams, and communicate complex ideas effectively. We are looking for candidates that will graduate this year or that graduated within the last 3 years.
These roles are likely to commence at the at the beginning of 2023, however, start dates could be flexible for candidates who are available to start sooner.
