About the Civil Engineering stream

A sample of the type of tasks you may complete as a Civil Engineering Graduate include:

  • Building professional relationships with a diverse range of people: from clients to designers to other engineering professionals; suppliers, sub-contractors, Joint Venture/Alliance partners and members of the public
  • Building an understanding of how to translate your university learnings into developing and delivering project solutions to the cost, quality, sustainability and schedule expectations
  • Supporting planning, scheduling, supervising construction and completion, and monitoring the provision of materials, and working as an effective team member
  • Using Digital Engineering methods to deliver value and certainty through our project delivery
  • Developing an understanding of Laing O’Rourke’s ways of working, and looking for opportunities to further improve them

About you

To be eligible for the 2024 Programme you must have completed your university studies between January 2023 and July 2024 and be an Australian/New Zealand citizen or Permanent resident.

To be eligible for the Programme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • At the time of application, hold Australian/New Zealand citizenship or Permanent Residency.
  • Have completed tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering degree or similar between January 2023 and Jul 2024.
