An exciting opportunity has opened at our Chemcouriers Branch in Auckland to join their Outbound Team through the Mainfreight Development Programme in January 2024.
With a complex variety of dangerous goods moving through our network every day, there is always plenty to learn and many opportunities to expand our knowledge and skills. We are a tight-knit team who take pride in our work and are continuously striving for improvement. Like any family, we like to challenge each other to be our best while supporting and guiding those around us.
Working within the operation, youโre a key part of the crew. You've got your finger on the pulse of the depot and your eyes and ears open to what's happening. You work well unsupervised because you're driven and a work-proud kind of person with high standards. You always get the job done, safely and efficiently.
The opportunities for growth are endless within Mainfreight if you are willing to make the most of your time in the operations.
As we promote from within, we fill all roles in the business from the team who have started on the floor.
Our Development Programme is about building a career that makes the most of your strengths and keeps you motivated, challenged, and reaching your goals!
We see your qualifications as just a part of who you are. We donโt look for specific degrees, we are keen to take on people with all different perspectives to provide diverse ways of thinking and approaching challenges.
We're just as interested in your sports and interests, your part-time jobs, and how you'll fit into our special culture.

I really enjoy being an Account Manager and being on the road. I have a number of customers in a range of industries and have learnt so much. I like being able to be a trusted advisor and find solutions for my customers.

The team around us are all like family and we have each other's back, it is a pretty special company and they look after you! There are lots of awesome opportunities out there for everyone. Everyone has the 'Bleeding blue' feel in their day-to-day work.
The culture. I'm trusted with responsibility, I can make decisions and I'm encouraged to take ownership.
The people/the culture! It is incredible how a global company can still feel like a family and I think this is what makes it so special.
The people & culture. Family vibes & everyone's willing to help. The autonomy of the job.
The long hours can be tiring at times (but to be honest I don't know how I'd get it all done in less time).
Sometimes the long days (but it's give and take so not a big deal).
I'm nitpicking, sometimes the hours can be long, that's the nature of the work that we do, the customers need their freight, so we need to make that happen so the wider community have access to what they need.
The long days. 10-hour days can be rough. But you get used to them quickly.
