2022 Junior Project Coordinator - International

Job Description

As our Junior Project Coordinator - International, you will be responsible for obtaining relevant brand data for the channel, working with Mecca’s planning and freight teams to deliver and receive inventory into China, managing data reporting and reconciliation and driving ongoing systems integration between Mecca’s Australian and Chinese operation.

Day to day you will:

• Coordinate the monthly forecasting process for China
• Share insights into weekly sales and inventory reports with relevant stakeholders
• Analyse new product and promotion performance to support buying decisions
• Assist in reviewing Chinese brand and product descriptions in Mandarin
• Proactively communicate and/or escalate potential future projects or Chinese market-related opportunities or risks
• Support the logistics and ordering process for China

You will be one of the Mecca touchpoints with our Trading Partner in China for all planning, freight and reporting related matters to enable and ensure seamless and timely delivery of project outcomes.

What You Will Bring:

You will ideally have a background in eCommerce planning, merch management or supply chain with proven experience in the Chinese market, ideally in cross-border eCommerce (think Tmall, JD.com, WeChat, Little Red Book) and/or Retail (beauty experience is a bonus).

Our ideal candidate also has:

• Strong MS Office and communication skills
• An ability to liaise across different languages with a cultural sensibility
• Excellent time management and coordination skills
• A passion for driving continuous improvement

Bi-lingual is a must with Chinese and English (can read and write in Chinese).
