Fund Services - Accounting Summer Associate Program (Apr 2025)

Your role

As a Fund Services Summer Intern at Morgan Stanley, you'll participate in an 8–10-week program designed to deepen your understanding of the critical role Fund Services plays within the firm. The internship offers a stimulating and supportive environment to help you reach your full potential. You'll undergo comprehensive training covering Morgan Stanley Fund Services, global financial products, and related applications and systems. This program is designed to develop highly motivated professionals by providing essential insights into the business and opportunities to enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand the hedge fund administration business.
• Understand global financial products like Equities, Swaps, Bonds, Derivatives, Credit Default Swap (CDS), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Forex (FX), Over the Counter (OTC), etc., and learn accounting processes for the same.
• Price verification of financial products in client portfolio.
• Daily and month-end reconciliations of client portfolios.
• P&L analysis of client portfolio.
• Ensure adherence to internal checks about policies, and procedures and offering documents of hedge funds.

 About you

Qualifications

• Basic understanding and an interest in financial products coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Interest in accounting and its related concepts.
• Experience in MS Office preferably Excel.
• Outstanding academic record with success in extracurricular activities, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work and interact with others.
