Your role
- Develop risk models using machine learning to improve compliance monitoring.
- Conduct statistical analysis and back-testing on existing models.
- Document models and coordinate validations with risk teams.
- Collaborate with Financial Crimes, Compliance, Legal, and IT departments to manage risk.
- Enhance statistical methodologies and quantitative models.
- Assist in creating key risk and performance indicators.
- Conduct information security assessments for vendors.
- Coordinate entitlement reviews with legal and compliance teams.
About you
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from premier institutes in mathematics, statistics, physics, computational finance, computer science or other quantitative fields.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills with the ability to work independently and multi-task to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience in advanced statistical analysis techniques including multi-variable data analysis and predictive modeling techniques. Hands-on or theoretical knowledge of various Machine Learning algorithms and tools, e.g., XGBoost/LightGBM, Random Forests, support vector machines (SVMs), PCA, K-means etc.
- Ability to work with global, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in Distributed Computing & Cloud technologies (Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Scala, Databricks, SparQL or other related technologies) to analyze and process large data sets and write scalable and efficient code.
- Experience using Python for statistical analysis and modelling. Experience in PySpark is a plus.
- Well-versed in writing efficient, scalable and production-quality code and understanding programming best practices.
