Application Process & Interviews at Neoscape

Felt more like a casual conversation than a formal interview which I liked.

One interview with the director mainly discussing my experience and any questions I had about the company.

I had an interview with HR Manager and I got through to second round interview, this was with the director.

Interview process was different to how it is now. With my own interview, it was a casual interview with the Director. Understand the interview process is now first interview with the People, Brand and Culture Manager followed by a second and then third interview.

My interview process occurred during the pandemic, so all my interviews were virtual. While I did miss out on the one-to-one meeting during our first interaction, the overall interview structure and onboarding process was smooth and at a time when all other employers were mostly focusing on local students, Neoscape was among the very few giving out opportunities to international students such as myself.

Given that I had applied for a graduate level, I wasn't asked too many technical questions about my field. They just wanted to test my general foundation and interest towards my profession, Basically questions were on my background, educational qualifications, previous work history, and general situation-based questions.

Relax and be honest. Research what client side project management involves vs working for a builder or developer.

Research the company, prepare your responses based on any relevant past experiences, prepare good questions to ask the company to get a better understanding about them and whether or not the company is suitable for what you want.

The most important tip is to do plenty of research on the company and understand what client side project management is.

Be honest and have a brief understanding of where a Project Manager sits in the process and understanding of their tasks / role - Review the website.

Sift through the entire company website to understand what they have to offer, projects, day to day tasks, profiles and client group to better understand what you're signing up for.

Reading about the company profile definitely helps. It shows you are interested and know about the company. Also, stay relaxed and maintain the interaction as more of a conversation rather than going back and forth with questions. Remember that the whole point of conducting the interview is to see how you vibe in general and would you be a good fit for the company.
