Partners in Performance is a global management consulting firm with a focus on human performance and working alongside client partners to make change happen. Weโve got offices in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, Africa, North and South America, the Middle East, Russia and the UK and Europe but prefer to spend as little time in them as possible. Instead, we work with our clients to unleash their potential and deliver lasting impact that you hardly ever achieve by sitting in a boardroom.
If you're confident to say youโre one of the marketโs brightest minds, with a strong academic record to show for it, then we offer graduate opportunities where you can solve the most important and complex problems that their business is up against.
Youโre also an intrepid traveller, naturally curious and excited to experience all the world has on offer. So, donโt get stuck behind a desk & be pigeon-holed to an industry vertical when you can kick-start your career with a role at Partners in Performance.
Thereโs so much potential in a role like this, itโs hard to sum it all up into one job ad!
A career in consulting is a life changing experience. At Partners in Performance you will interact with clients at all levels in an organisation, working on problems that your peers will only read about in the AFR. In a complex world that is full of ideas, you will learn how to focus on the right initiative for change and turn it into a fully executed transformation in any business environment.
Weโre committed to helping you unleash your potential too.
The diversity and complexity of the problems you face, mean that you will get more from five yearsโ experience with us, than you would with ten years of moving up the ladder in a single industry. Youโll be able to tap into an industry-leading training and support loop that allows you to continuosly improve and fine tune your skillset.
Itโs not just what we do at Partners in Performance but how we do it.
Our aim for โzero harmโ means that weโre an organisation that leads decision-making with a values-based approach, meaning there is no need to sacrifice your integrity in order to be successful.
Diversity is important to us, reflected in the wide range of personalities and backgrounds youโll work alongside. We believe that being able to bring your whole self to work is fundamental to your success and we deliberately foster an open and inclusive atmosphere on teams and in the business.
So, how about it?
If this sounds like the ideal opportunity for you then we would love to hear from you!
We treasure diversity of all kinds and have done since we opened for business more than 25 years ago.

Data analysis, slide development, client interaction (e.g. holding workshops, interviews, presentations)
Extremely interesting and engaging, I'm given a lot of latitude in how I complete tasks.
Changes everyday - but usually a mix of data analysis, making presentations, attending (occasionally leading) meetings with client team, problem solving, catching up with the team (includes socially too!)

Management Consulting
We work side-by-side with our clients to implement bottom-line results and to build capability, enabling lasting impact.
PiPers are fantastic to work with. They are caring, intelligent, and always happy to talk
Being supported by a wide variety of personalities and intelligence and constantly being pushed to learn more about the world
The development! Formal training, on the job training and frequent feedback from every colleague, means you are developed fast and continually learning new things. It was present through the interview process and has only improved from there.
1. People are fantastic - sharp, caring , down to earth and respectful. Everyone is very focused on your professional and personal development and making sure you achieve your best potential 2. Work is challenging - every engagement is always an interesting challenge with opportunities to step-up and go outside your comfort zone (e.g. running meetings with C-suite level execs in your first year, building complex models, etc) 3. Lots of opportunities to get involved - big "self-starter" culture, lots of developing practice areas to contribute to (e.g. Energy Transition, Financial Services, Pro Bono, Digital Practice). Everyone is also very collaborative and willing to go the extra mile to lend a helping hand to turn an idea into reality 4. Flat org structure - leadership team makes an effort to get to know you, juniors are often expected to provide their perspective, not very hierarchical at all
Travel, diversity of work, constant learning opportunities
The hours can be long and you have to make sacrifices to prioritise what is important to you
Consulting is a demanding job, so there are days when there are long hours however the team I have worked with actively tries to ensure these are few and far between.
Mostly common issues with the consulting industry - 1. Hours/lifestyle can be demanding - whilst emphasis on work/life balance is better than most competitors, hours can still be long (engagement dependent) and pre-COVID flying to client site each week can be challenging to manage 2. High expectations to perform - also endemic within the consulting industry, but sometimes these pressures can make more work stressful 3. Work culture can be intense (mostly during stressful periods) - sometimes the scope of work can be way too much and everything becomes quite task/process driven so regular life gets thrown out the window (especially when working remotely)
Some times long hours
