Worked with the social impact group.

There are CSR projects here, however I think like many companies they exist for appearances sake. Most people here seem genuine and committed to social problems, however happenings in the news are a reminder there are many who don't care

ESG commitment- achieving a net zero emission by 2030

Lots of initiatives to reduce carbon footprint and alike.

Minor trend setter

After the whole tax incident, PwC have really been pushing CSR objectives. I think PwC is a fairly ethical company and there are lots of different initiatives PwC has to work on CSR such as paid volunteering days, toy donations for Christmas etc., opportunities for PwC managers and above to be on boards.

The tone of voice from the top is that this is important, however not really applicable at a personal individual level

There are always fundraising initiatives happening around the office.

There's a whole group for volunteering and we have Foundation Day for helping a charity/NFP for a day. I've worked helping Indigenous kids read at St Andrew's School

I am part of a group that raises money for cancer research, have also got to volunteer for a charity that raises money for kids with heart conditions and their families. PwC has a vision to make a positive impact on society across different aspects by 2020

Numerous projects done within the community - eg working with the government to alleviate housing affordability issues.

We have basecamp fundraising events. I have been on Grow Day to plan for these events

This is a firm wide goal. However it is up to the individual teams to action/initiate which doesn't always happen.

None worked on personally, but the firm is always running fundraisers or raising awareness for good causes

PwC is a strong supporter of the Yes Vote for same sex marriage and has been at the forefront for it for a long period of time.
