The position of CA at our host company partner involves managing the administration of contracts for various projects/trades, ensuring that contractual obligations are met, and contracts are administered, that any disputes are quickly resolved and that the building process moves swiftly to a successful conclusion.

The role allows a degree of autonomy with a high level of responsibility. However, to ensure the CA successfully completes their role, it is vitally important that they work well with all contractors, administration, and team members within the company, understanding the impact each places upon the other for a cohesive and profitable operation.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Project Progress and Programming
• Reference project program/s to assist in relevant project tasks
• Status weekly/update monthly trade tracking sheets
• Ensure that timeline and critical path scheduling are followed
• Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to develop effective programs for all on-site work
• Manage the procurement process, and carry out proper administration of all required Subcontracts and Supply Agreements/executable contracts for successful project delivery
• Procure all trade packages and assess tender submissions
• Procurement programme/Schedule using excel spreadsheet status monthly
• Minute trade negotiations
• Maintaining and updating records of all correspondence related to contract activity
• Facilitate, manage and administer subcontracts including:
• Liaise with Project Manager to determine sub-contractor scope of works and the letting of subcontracts
• Carryout scheduling, estimating – ordering materials and quantity takeoffs

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated Mentor and Placement Consultant to guide, coach and offer career advice throughout the internship placement.
