Our host company partner offers a position with an overall purpose and objective to perform the business's core activity: repair and refurbishment of electronic circuit boards and assemblies.

Major Responsabilities

  1. Follow basic work processes: work orders, schematic drawings, test procedures or verbal instructions
  2. Fault finding down to the component level of complex PCBs (digital and analogue) in through-hole and surface mount technologies. Reverse engineer when appropriate.
  3. Set up standard or specialized test equipment (including Automated Testing Equipment) and circuitry to conduct functional, operational and environmental tests for the evaluation of the status of the assemblies.
  4. Analyze and interpret test data.
  5. Provide feedback to Engineering to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the repair and refurbishment process and test procedures.
  6. Comply with Company and statutory standards, policies, and procedures regarding quality, health, safety, and environment.
  7. Complete other duties as assigned from time to time

Technical Skills

  1. Able to work and troubleshoot using test equipment, including test meters, oscilloscope and frequency counters, spectrum analyzers etc. Working knowledge of Automatic Testing Equipment
  2. Ability to perform component-level troubleshooting independently.
  3. Conversant with the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems software.
  4. Electricity and chemical exposure awareness
  5. Proficiency in mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering and crimping in addition to electronics training.
  6. Good verbal communication skills.
  7. The individual must be able to follow instructions.
  8. Should be able to work and interact with all levels of personnel.

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated Mentor and Placement Consultant to guide, coach and offer career advice throughout the internship placement.
