Key Areas Of Responsibility

  • Accounts payable, income audit and accounts receivable functions in a hotel setting.
  • Communicating with other talents and Department Heads.
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options.
  • Summaries current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • Has university knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Eager to learn and take on tasks assigned

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated Mentor and Placement Consultant to guide, coach and offer career advice throughout the internship placement.
