Satisfied.

The pay is ok but below market rate.
the allowances given are inconsistent across the company. there is no clarification of what rate is allowed for night shift, remote work or excess hours.
there is also no clarity on what criteria needs to be met to get a certain criteria (it always says something along the lines of, your leader must approve xyz, it shouldn't say that, it should say "if you satisfy this criteria, you are given x allowance for x period"
there is constant variation from employee to employee what you are entitled to which further reflects the distrust and mismanagement of employees throughout the company.

Pay and bonuses are generally low compared to peers.
Graduate, Brisbane - 15 Jul 2024
The pay for my current role and responsibility level is unacceptable. santos uses the graduate program as a cost controlling, remuneration anchoring exercise. i have trained my peers whom have come on to perform the same job, with less responsibility and capability than myself with far greater pay rates. santos starts off as a great offering, but quickly falls behind it's peers. bonus offerings are poor. santos is a great proving ground to gain valuable experience, and then find better value for that experience elsewhere with better remuneration offerings.

Overall i am fairly satisfied with the compensation. the pay and bonus is probably slightly lower than industry average once you leave the graduate program. the bonus structure is fairly transparent and linked to both your performance and the company as a whole.

The bonus scheme at the company may as well not exist. the pay does not meet industry standard and it has been made clear to me that this is not going to change. considering that the company provides a 3% increase each year even though indexation is closer to ~7% shows the approach to employee last which exists within hr

Grad salary falls significantly behind competitors (including base, site allowance and bonus). starting base salary has not been increased in years despite increased inflation and profits. the reduction in base salary after the increase in mandatory super contributions reflects incredibly poorly against the company. it does not make you feel values as an employee, but rather dispensable. stating "its ok your base reduces. the tax cuts will make it basically the same" is unacceptable. these tax cuts are meant to assist with cost of living. even after this my base pay has been reduced. a company as large as santos with such large profits should do better than this.

Very good remuneration and bonus for this level of job. i.e. graduate.
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Jun 2024
I'm satisfied as i'm aware that within my age group my salary is on the much higher side. however, i know that in this industry a lot of companies are paying a decent amount more than what the graduates at this company are receiving.
bonus being performance-dependent is nice.

Great.
Graduate, Brisbane - 27 Jun 2024
The process changes frequently and it can be difficult to find out any information. the pay as a graduate is generally competitive with similar roles at other companies, however there is a history of pay discrepancies amongst the graduate cohorts.
Graduate, Perth - 26 Jun 2024
Pay should be standardised for all graduates - no matter what year they started in the program.
Graduate, Perth - 26 Jun 2024
Pay is very good in comparison to other graduates (not too sure within the industry itself, however). bonuses and incentives are also good.
Graduate, Adelaide - 26 Jun 2024
Santos is not a high paying company compared to other oil and gas companies.
Graduate, Brisbane - 25 Jun 2024
Satisfied with tfr.
bonus poor compared to other companies.
Graduate, Perth - 24 Jun 2024
Pay is decent to start out with, but it doesn't grow as quickly as comparable companies.
Graduate, Brisbane - 24 Jun 2024
Great pay.
Graduate, Adelaide - 24 Jun 2024
The salary pay at santos is low compared to other operating companies in the industry. plus, the remuneration team at santos has allowed significant pay gaps within the graduate cohort to arise, and despite having opportunities to rectify it each year, they have ignored the issues raised by the graduates. as santos is a low-cost operator, the company is essentially a low-pay operator. it's because of this, that a lot of young talented professionals look elsewhere.
Graduate, Perth - 24 Jun 2024
All employees in my position (i.e., graduate) receive the same pay, which i believe is well received and competitive against similar companies.
bonuses have been well received; included an increase at completion of first-year of work, and performance-incentivised increase realised across the company.
pay and bonuses are not the ultimatum of maintaining a job, however, does play a supplementary role.
Graduate, Adelaide - 24 Jun 2024
The pay is good compared to most other industries however santos usually pays lower than other companies within the industry.
