They are good, I speak to my higher ups whenever I want and I can even reach out to the National Manager, General Manager and Deputy ceo (my mentor)

Managers are accessible, especially line managers. They are generous with knowledge and are good mentors. I get formal and informal feedback on my performance. Occasionally, I get some praise or recognition.

I have good managers and mentors. They communicate well.

Some managers are really good, some do not make the environment feel safe or comfortable. One manager in a different state referred to staff as "turkeys" or "eagles" and named the staff accordingly. I found this extremely unprofessional.

My current managers (direct report, director, senior executive 1) are all approachable, communicate well, recognise good work and deliver praise. This is highly dependent on the managers though, my previous senior executive communicated a lot less than our current one. I have noticed that if a higher senior executive (band 2 or 3) encourages a culture of communication and praise, we are more likely to see that reflected at the lower levels.

Middle management are fantastic and are happy to evolve with the times - senior executive leadership are a bit out of touch and stuck in their ways.

My direct supervisor is great, supportive and flexible

Some are fantastic, others are not great. Varies.

There are many different managers so it is hard to identify how accessible each is. My line manager is very approachable as we work side by side.

They are accessible and supportive. I have had no issues with any of them. I have honest communications with them about my aspirations and they encourage me to go after them.

I have had excellent managers that have been great mentors as well.

Very accessible, great to talk to, provide praise when required. Would like some more feedback and tasks to do, or exposure to what they do more.

They seem pretty good. My EL2 sits opposite me and we chat cricket and stuff. Performance feedback and stuff is all tick and flick which is good and bad.

Managers, including direct line managers, can take upwards of a week to answer a question, they do not respond to emails, monthly coaching sessions are often scheduled but frequently cancelled.

Line supervisors and direct managers are great. Upper management and senior execs need a reality check and to embrace change. Though there is some level of recognition, everything from senior execs is so heavily filtered it never reaches the individual 'worker bees'.

My managers so far have been very accessible and good mentors. They communicate well when providing performance feedback and praise.

Great mentors, good at communicating, love having a bit of fun when we can. Supportive and are very aware of mental health. I am grateful my manager can see periods of time where we have a bit of free time and can recommend periods of time in the short term to take time off if we need it.

In this regard I have been incredibly lucky. All my manager's so far have been kind, understanding and patient. They have always supported any training or advancements I have wished to pursue and encouraged me to keep improving.

The work managers do in my area is larger workload than other areas. it is a challenging role and I feel they are doing the best they can with the resources we have.
