Pros and cons of working at SLB

Pros

  • Great manager who is proactive about getting employees on formal training courses. Generally accepted as world-class training and experience, making it a good place to begin a career.

  • The diversity of the people I work with. Everybody originates from different countries, hence their beliefs and practices are shaped differently.

  • A lot of opportunities for personal growth and training.

  • SLB is a multinational company with opportunities for career growth and possibility of working overseas

  • Everyone is enthusiastic, professional, and helpful, so we enjoy working with our teams!

Cons

    • Re-schedule work plan happened due to objective reasons, so we have to prepare for the new projection in days, which is little stressful, but we manage to do it.

    • Being away from my family overseas.

    • There is always an expectation to perform so you can't slack.

    • There's no rotation. I would really love a fixed rotation with days on/days off.

    • My ability to feel free with my time is limiting as a result of committing to more intense work experiences and opportunities.
