If you are in your second or third year of study at the university studying engineering, engineering science, mathematics, statistics or related qualifications then we want you to apply for an internship with Stantec. Scope of work

The Hastings based Undergraduate Transportation Engineer will be a vital contributor to a range of projects delivering improved outcomes for our community including essential cyclone recovery works.

The role will include:

• Exposure to the development of traffic safety, rehabilitation, upgrade and development projects.
• Contributing to bridge and retaining wall inspections.
• Collating and analysing procurement data.
• Developing asset renewal/upgrade programmes.
• Contributing to the successful outcome of construction projects by assisting with contract management quality control, and site observation records.
• Contributing to a range of report preparation.

In addition to the above tasks, the undergraduate will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of multi-disciplinary projects with other teams in the office.

Who can apply

To be eligible to apply you must:

• Be in your second or third year of study
• Currently studying a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) or Bachelor or Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering Diploma
• Preferably have a full clean current driving licence
• Able to commence work from mid-November 2023 to mid-February 2024 (Flexible)
