At Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), we are currently recruiting for our IT Graduate Program in Australia commencing mid to late March 2022. Successful graduates will join the TCS team in a trainee role supporting various functions on real projects.

What we’re looking for:

• Graduates who have Australian / New Zealand citizen and residents and/or full work right in Australia
• Master’s in Data Science / Analytics with bachelor’s in engineering or Bachelor’s in Engineering
• Preferably with 1-2 years industry experience, honing their skills as 
• Open to locations such as Sydney, Melbourne, Perth

Data Analyst / Data Visualization Expert

Job Purpose and Primary Objectives 

Analyst / Visualization expert understands the business problem at hand and generates actionable recommendations in the form of user-friendly, scaled, automated reports, dashboards based on available data.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business/technical teams to consult on existing business problems/ongoing projects to implement solutions that meet business needs
• Work on data gathering, data cleaning, data modeling, metric development, insight generation using relevant tools, platforms and libraries
• Deliver effective presentations to technical/non-technical audiences of findings and recommendations 
• Help clients with key decisions to improve products, services, and operations
• Generate scalable, automated & user-friendly visualization dashboards and daily/weekly reports

Data Scientist

Job Purpose and Primary Objectives 

A data scientist is someone, who knows how to make value out of data. Such a person proactively fetches information from various sources and analyzes it for a better understanding of how the business performs and how to leverage various Machine Learning tools and techniques to build tools that automate business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Researching and developing statistical models for Data analysis
• Understanding the needs of the customers and design models or lead them towards solutions, along with Conveying the decisions, plans and concepts to the key business leaders.
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Selecting features, building and optimizing models using machine learning techniques.
• Solving complex problems with multi-layered data sets, as well as optimizing existing machine learning libraries and frameworks
• Delivering effective presentations to technical and non-technical audiences of findings and recommendations.

Technical Skills

• Computing tools such as MySQL, Python along with Data visualization tools like Tableau / Power BI. 
• Knowledge of various Statistical techniques and Machine Learning Algorithms like linear and logistic regression, random forests, decision trees, clustering techniques etc. 
• Knowledge of various Big Data Technologies like Hive, Hadoop, Map-Reduce, Spark.

Machine Learning Engineer

Job Purpose and Primary Objectives 

A Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for leveraging various big Data tools and frameworks to ensure that the Machine Learning models are scalable and suitable for deployment and to maintain the integrity and quality of the ML Model.

Key Responsibilities

• Researching and developing statistical models for data analysis and understanding the needs of the customers and design models or lead them towards solutions, along with Conveying the decisions, plans and concepts to the key business leaders
• Use of appropriate databases and project designs that are used to optimize the solutions
• Study and transform the data science technology prototypes and design machine learning models. Also, collaborating with data engineers to develop data and model pipelines.
• Writing production level codes and code reviews and learning from them on what changes are to be made
• Selection of appropriate datasets and the proper data representation methods, running machine learning tests and doing experiments on them, performing statistical analysis and fine-tuning using these test results.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of working with Distributed systems and Big Data Frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, Map Reduce, Hive.
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure etc, Programming languages: Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, Scala
• Knowledge of SQL and Relational as well as non-relational Databases and of various Statistical techniques and ML Algorithms like linear and logistic regression, random forests, decision trees, clustering techniques etc.

Big Data Engineer

Job Purpose and Primary Objectives 

A Big Data Engineer is responsible for leveraging various algorithms and techniques to make raw data more useful for the enterprises and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Align architecture with business requirements
• Develop Data acquisition frameworks and set processes related to data governance
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
• Use large data sets to address business issues
• Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling
• Find hidden patterns using data and use data to discover tasks that can be automated
