As a Treasury Summer Intern, you'll make a real difference to your own future alongside the New Zealand's future by working within one our teams in an exciting bespoke Internship programme. You will get first-hand experience and exposure to what we do and how we do it. Unlike other internships, the work you do will directly impact shaping our tomorrow. The exact nature of your work will depend on your background, experience, and interests - this will aid us in which team you will be placed in.

  • This is a paid internship offering a fixed term contract with a salary of approx. $56,000 per annum.

Application Criteria

  • Students currently residing in the Wellington Region or able to relocate for the duration of the internship
  • B or higher-grade average from the previous 12 months study
  • Second year students or higher
  • Available between November 2024 through to February 2025
  • We have a number of placement opportunities for candidates who have a sound foundation in Te Ao Māori, knowledge of tikanga and te reo with the ability to apply these within a government setting and/or ability to represent the Pasifika community by knowledge and descent who may be near the threshold of our other criteria.
