- Engineering Geology
- Environmental Science (Auckland Only)
- Environmental Geoscience (Auckland Only)
If you are working towards your MSc, then we want to hear from you! We are looking for a range of majors, including geology, soil science, water science, hydrogeology, and environmental science.

Reviews
My day-to-day responsibilities include quality assurance for different construction projects. A few different responsibilities include sizing ponds, assessing landfills, and infrastructure assessments.
I am seconded to an alliance, where I work on Land development projects for Housing New Zealand. Prepare reports, running analysis, and organizing and carrying out investigations.
I am involved in multiple projects. It sometimes involved going out to site doing site investigations and supervising contractors. Also, office work such as logging, report writing etc.,

Pros
Everyone is very friendly and supportive. Great team and team leader. Very interesting and varied work.
There is no competition within the company, everyone tries to lift each other and provide help whenever possible.
Culture of the workplace, and the opportunity to work on a range of projects with many different people.
The support from my colleagues. The opportunity to get involved in interesting projects. The work-life balance.
The flexibility of working times and locations, and the people. I enjoy the freedom of choosing when I can work from home and the hours I do. It helps me balance my personal life and work schedule.
Cons
Lack of intermediate staff who you can go ask for help without worrying about how busy they are.
Everyone is very busy, it can be difficult to find time for non-project related work such as training, career development, discussions etc.
The variable workload
High stress when projects are due
Sometimes, project commitments conflicts and all of a sudden there is a big workload. I also get stressed when some projects have a tight deadline and budget and I have to really push myself to try to deliver within budget.
