For a graduate there are plenty of opportunities. You can pretty much go into whatever team you wish (Provided there is an opening and the timings line up).
As for promotion possibilities after the grad programme, it is somewhat limited.
The typical career progression is Engineer -> Experienced engineer -> Senior Engineer -> Manager/Principal Engineer.
