Internship Program - Assistant Research Analyst (FSI) (Start ASAP)

Your role

As an intern at Urbis, you won't be a passive observer – you'll actively contribute to complex and meaningful projects that shape the urban landscape. Working with the accomplished team at Urbis, you'll gain invaluable insights and make a tangible impact on real-world initiatives. The student roles provide the flexibility of working 2 - 4 days per week, allowing you to integrate your internship with your studies seamlessly.

As an intern in their Foresight Strategy and Insight team, you will:

• Support in conducting targeted research and comprehensive analysis by leveraging a developing understanding of cities and urban issues, including economic and strategic urban planning concepts and contexts.
• Support senior team members in policy analysis and program evaluation, contributing to the development of strategic advice aimed at addressing complex policy problems in their urban environments.
• Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis on research materials, extracting valuable insights
• Independently conduct background research for projects, demonstrating resourcefulness and initiative in locating relevant sources
• Provide input into the development of draft proposals, tenders, and submissions pertaining to potential projects

The year-long Student Internship Program, running from February to December 2025, will enable you to graduate with the distinct advantage of industry experience over your peers

• This program will be suitable for those who will be undertaking tertiary studies in a relevant field in 2025
• Passionate, hardworking and a great fit for the spirited, collaborative culture at Urbis
• Can communicate with confidence and in a responsive manner, both written and verbally
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Proven skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Please Note: you must have valid working rights in Australia and be studying throughout the internship to be eligible for the program.
