Management at VMware

Transparent management, very easy to be honest with about your personal goals.

Easily the best manager I've ever had - empathetic, intelligent, gives good advice, always willing to listen and answer questions (no matter how silly it may seem)! We spoke on a regular basis throughout my grad year (about once a week) despite being in the middle of a pandemic.

Lots of verbal recongnition for the work I've done as well as earning awards. Can set up 1:1's with them whenever I feel the need.

I'm extremely satisfied with my manager. He's been instrumental in my growth and development since I started and definitely attribute most of my success to his mentorship and his trust in me.

The managers are highly experienced and inspirational. However, at times they are not as accessible as their schedule can get very busy.

I have a very good relationship with my manager, he is a great person to learn from and despite being so busy he makes himself accessible.

Relatively accessible, willing to engage

The managers are very inspirational, however they are very busy leaders. Thus, it can be difficult reaching the leaders at times.
