Your role

Vocus knows that you’re probably at an incredibly exciting, yet somewhat stressful time of your life – starting your professional career. Their goal is to make the transition from study life to work life simple and easy for you, and to set you up in a graduate program where you can thrive. They want to support you and see you succeed by throwing opportunities your way and letting you make a real impact by solving real business problems from day one.

The graduate program is focused on products, information technology, program management, sales, business operations, data, customer experience and engineering.

About the Vocus Graduate Program:

  • It’s a two-year rotational program that kicks off in February 2025.
  • You will gain hands-on experience with three rotations across three different teams, with each rotation lasting seven months.
  • They provide formal training such as quarterly development workshops, online learning modules, career coaching sessions, mentoring and more.

About you

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be in the final year of a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree or have completed your university studies in the last five years.
  • Be an Australian / New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application.

Benefits

As part of the graduate program, you will receive benefits such as:

  • Career progression opportunities
  • Impactful work unlocking the potential for customers, society and the Vocus people
  • Hybrid Way of Working, designed to maximise the benefits of spending time together while providing you with some flexibility around your week.
  • In your second year – either before your third rotation or upon conclusion of the program – they’ll pay you to take time off work to travel, explore and recharge! You read that correctly – the Graduate Program gives you access to two months of travel leave to use for whatever adventure you desire. You could use this for a backpacking Euro trip you’ve dreamed about, a stint exploring Africa or Asia, or even to visit somewhere in their own Aussie backyard. Also, this is in addition to your standard paid four weeks of annual leave. *Note there will be some conditions to this which will be discussed at the time of recruitment.

Training, development & rotations

The program offers hands-on experience in impactful business projects, complemented by comprehensive training including quarterly workshops, online modules, career coaching, and mentorship. It provides a structured pathway through rotational team assignments every seven months, designed to give you breadth and depth of experience across cyber security, computer science, business operations, engineering, finance, information technology, data science and marketing.

Career progression

At the end of the two-year program, subject to performance and cultural alignment, they will support you to transition into a permanent role at Vocus. They aim to truly invest in you, grow you, keep you in the business and have you want to hang around and be part of Vocus for longer than just the Grad Program.
