For candidates applying to Western Power, it's crucial to understand the company's mission, values, and recent projects, and to align your responses with these. Review the job description carefully and tailor your examples to show how your skills meet the role's requirements. Prepare for both behavioural questions and technical questions by staying updated on relevant industry practices. Highlight your teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, and come prepared with thoughtful questions about the role and company culture. This approach will help you present yourself as a well-rounded and informed candidate.

Brush up on basic AC calculations prior to interview, if you can't answer a question be upfront about it and try to show it in a positive light for example, I was unable to answer a technical question and responded with "I'm sorry I can't recall how to calculate that, I have the capability to find out how to calculate the value but am also capable of acknowledging what I don't know and ask for help when needed".
Practice/prepare answers to basic behavioural questions.
Remember your interviewers are people too and while looking for someone with the technical ability they are also looking for someone that they get along with and wouldn't mind spending 7.5 hours a day, 5 days a week with for the next 30-50 years, so be friendly, polite and have a conversation :)
