The role

As an insights and analytics graduate, you’ll contribute to our mission to deliver successful customer outcomes through actionable insights. You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex challenges and with stakeholders around the business to solve problems. You’ll contribute to the building and understanding of our products and services that our customers use every day.

As a graduate you’ll spend the year rotating through the data team’s functional areas, gaining hands-on experience into what each area does and how they work. At the end of the year, these rotations should help inform your decision about your career path at Xero.

Along the journey, mentors will aid your personal growth and development by providing feedback and teaching technical skills. Through this process you’ll form strong relationships with your colleagues and peers, equipping you for an exciting career at Xero.

The Product Insights Analyst role will see you doing a range of jobs including:

  • Effectively support a single portfolio area or product team by supporting product development decisions and helping to establish a data driven understanding of the current customer behaviours
  • Assists with defining problems and scoping solutions for your own work
  • Effectively work with complex data, confidently sourcing data from Xero's main data platforms.
  • Identify key trends and correlations in data, and contribute to more complex analysis such as A/B tests where appropriate

Ideally, you’ll:

  • Solid skills aptitude to develop with SQL and one or more scripting languages
  • Can productively contribute to innovation and problem-solving, and can independently deliver core tasks
  • Shows an aptitude to independently learn new skills and technologies, and solve problems where required.
  • Aptitude and eagerness to develop a broad familiarity with Xero's product, our customers, and the data we collect
  • We aren’t looking for a specific degree, we’re looking for a logical thinker who can break down
a problem, but you may have a statistics, mathematics or computer science background

If this sounds like you, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.

How to apply

Due to the number of applications we receive, we ask that you only apply for one role in one location. Please take some time to research each opportunity available before submitting your application.

If you’re invited to a grad day, it will include technical and soft skills interviews, as well as group and individual challenges.
