I want to create a positive impact on the world, and the buildings team gives me the most practical way of achieving this.

The most exciting part is definitely having almost unlimited access to everything around the Airport, from critical power and communication centres around the Airport area, MIQ facilities, and also the taxiways and runways themselves.

Arup’s commitment to sustainable development and shaping a better world is helping me get to this future by building my skills and experience and growing my network in the energy industry.  

Make time for yourself. Your own happiness and wellbeing should come first and foremost. Always make time to relax and do something you enjoy no matter how busy you are.

Work moves so quickly on-site and it’s amazing to see the planning which happens behind the scenes to make this happen.  I am also surrounded by a wealth of knowledge and everyone is always willing to take the time to explain why things are done a certain way.

What I enjoyed most about the job was completing work that I would’ve previously thought was impossible to do.
