Pay is good for graduate positions as i am still new i cannot comment on the appropriateness of other roles.

As a graduate the pay is quite good, however in the long term ansto may not be for you if a large salary is a dealbreaker.

No bonuses, slow progression mostly based on years of experience and mecer banding. sad that the pay on my offer was as predicted at the time, but due to no new proposed enterprise agreement, pay is frozen.

In general, i believe the remuneration is fair considering the flexibility and work environment. i am unsure of the process for applying for increases/bonuses in my area.

Relocation expenses were covered, but this may be wound back. we have a swimming pool! a research reactor, particle accelerators, neutrons on tap, excellent environmental science ... yeah ansto's alright!

Ansto has a very good superannuation contribution. sports at lunch time is great, there's a pool onsite that is free. there is also a daycare on site, not that i need that but it is good for others.

Flex time - you don't need to use any annual leave to take time off, you can just work the extra hours in advance and take a long weekend

Lunch time sport on-site (soccer, touch footy, yoga etc) swimming pool on-site interstate moving expenses are covered two days off per year for moving house

Flexible time is great! ability to add an additional day off to a weekend is a brilliant perk. all my moving expenses were covered after moving inter-state. the opportunity to conduct overseas travel as part of work is also a great perk - especially as a graduate!

I was reimbursed for my relocation costs, which was great. there is also a pool here on campus so you can do laps during lunch or before or after work.

The social club offers excellent deals on tickets to sports, movies, events etc. there are not really many other "perks" in the traditional sense - there are however many facets to the work/life balance (like lunch time sport, flex time etc.) that compensate for this
