The initial assessment process was unique among the companies I applied to, as it asked for both video and written answers, as well as asking questions that I don't normally see.
The interview was also good, it was a standard interview, but the interviewers were very chill which made the experience a lot better.
Graduate, Melbourne - 13 Sep 2024
I was communicated well with throughout this process.
Intern, Melbourne - 12 Sep 2024
Online application, in-person interview.
Intern, Perth - 10 Sep 2024
The hiring process was clear and easy to follow. The online platform displayed what stage of hiring you are at following the application, alongside email communications and updates. Once employed, the onboarding process was also straight forward and engaging.
Intern, Sydney - 10 Sep 2024
Fast and transparent
Intern, Sydney - 10 Sep 2024
The interview process is efficient and the personnel facilitating it is very good
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
One-way interview online, then in-person interview or over teams (international interviews like mine) then job offer
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
I had a smooth transition from being an intern to a graduate engineer. From what I remember in the intern hiring process, it was smooth.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Sep 2024
I can't complain but I can't offer much insight. I was referred by a friend I met at university, had one teams interview and had the job. This is by no means the regular process, I've overheard other grads complain about several interviews, tests and cognitive things.
As far as I can tell, you need a degree to apply. Any degree will do for ECA, the more diverse the better. I studied archaeology and ended up in talks with landowners about transmission towers - but with an understanding of cultural heritage and the impacts infrastructure can make on these ancient sites.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
I found the interview process very breezy - not much in the way of assessments. Interviews were quite informal and low pressure. I felt like they were selling Aurecon to me, rather than me selling myself to Aurecon
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Sep 2024
The interview was engaging, not super strict and formal. The recruiters did a good job at keeping in contact and being responsive to questions.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Sep 2024
I did the online assessment following by a face to face interview.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Sep 2024
When I was interviewed, it was mainly an introduction about the team's main projects, and I don't feel like I was asked difficult questions (which I liked). However, there is a new person who does recruiting now, and I heard about how an intern from another team (did not have to do an interview) was given a grad position next year over a previous intern in our team (who had to do an interview again and won out of all interviewees). It just seems rather strange seeing that the hiring person never worked with either.
Graduate, Perth - 05 Sep 2024
The process was easy to understand and interview was chill and involves some discussions on uni life and previous work experience.
Graduate, Sydney - 03 Sep 2024
Initial screening & interview
Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Aug 2024
I did not go through an interview process as I started by doing my university placement, then transitioned to casual work and then joined the grad program

Going through only 1 interview because have previous experience and within specific team
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Aug 2024
Little communication between recruiters in 2021, flexible interview process held on zoom due to covid restrictions
Graduate, Sydney - 26 Aug 2024
The early careers team is so supportive and the experience was honestly fun and exciting without the typical stresses of recruitment.
Graduate, Brisbane - 26 Aug 2024
1. Submit resume and cover letter
2. Online questions, including a mix of problem-solving text questions and recorded video questions.
3. One-on-one interview in person, but were flexible and able to have it online for my circumstances.
