The Opportunity

Working closely alongside the TA Manager, TA Advisor and P&C Advisors, you will join a team that is committed to performance and who genuinely support each other along the way. It is a full-on role and has the opportunity to make it your own.

Supporting three offices across Auckland (350 FTE) you will play an integral part in both the Graduate and Experienced recruitment campaigns. If you care about the candidate experience, social media, technology and attracting the best talent, now is a great time to join, as we are on a journey building out Employment Branding and Talent Acquisition Strategies.

Being organized, demonstrating initiative and having a little resilience is critical - the rest we can support and develop along the way!

Ideally you will have completed a Commerce or HR degree recently and have strong communication and technology skills.

.....Oh and of course, you must like working with people and staying true to your values!

Why BDO?

Exceptional service, without exception. There are many ways to answer the question, “Why BDO?”

We could tell you about our 20 offices across New Zealand or our 1,809 offices worldwide. We could mention our comprehensive Audit & Assurance, Tax and Advisory service offerings, our experience across virtually every major industry, or the wide range of clients we serve, from regional businesses to global leaders.

But what truly sets BDO apart is our passion for our clients’ businesses and our commitment to exceeding expectations on every engagement, big or small, for every client, every day. It’s about more than our capabilities and our relationship-driven culture. It’s about a firm-wide dedication to backing our people to deliver service to every single client that is, without exception, exceptional.

Pros

  • The culture at BDO is great, as there are lots of different social activities that you can participate in throughout the year.

  • The support provided by the people around me.

  • Flexitime works well for me...start earlier in the day...and leave at a good time to still have time after work.

  • Many learning opportunities, consistent training, on-time feedback, and encouragement."

  • The office here is very big and has heaps of facilities available such as a coffee machine, multiple microwaves, fridges, and toastie makers.

Cons

    • Workflow inconsistencies—being light on work.

    • Sometimes it felt as if there wasn't enough training before getting thrown into it.

    • Time feels a little micromanaged.

    • Office temperature is never right.
