I have recently moved into a full-time role in a position I want which has made the work I'm doing extremely satisfying. Before that it was up and down, there were some business units that were really good an asking what I wanted to do and making work challenging and fun where others would just give you the dirty work.

Pros and cons of working at Bunzl APAC

Pros

  • The best thing about Bunzl is if you show potential, they will put you in a position to succeed and advance your career.

  • Bunzl is flexible with working hours and working from home and has strong communication across teams.

  • Colleagues are often more than willing to help with great enthusiasm to work through any problems you may have.

  • I have never been asked or pressured to do overtime. I was allowed flexibility and can choose when I want my lunch break.

  • The formal training is excellent. We are given speeches as well as interactive learning sessions.

Cons

    • The technology in certain aspects can be behind and require inconvenient workarounds.

    • Remuneration could be improved.

    • Some business units are very old school and outdated, with a lack of up-to-date technology.

    • Giving grads the jobs that nobody wants to do will just force them out of the company as it makes them feel unimportant.

    • The office is far from public transport, with the nearest train station being 7km away and infrequent service.
